Club Days at Sierra College
“Club Days at Sierra College,” featured above, covers various student clubs out tabling on the Rocklin campus quad on Sept. 24 to invite new students to join. This happens every term at the college so that club members can share what their about and meet newcomers. Students Marcus King, Celeste Ruiz, and more share their views on why clubs matter to them and should matter to others.
Sierra’s Got Talent
“Sierra’s Got Talent,” the first event at Sierra by this name at the college spotlights a local band and students and staff performing poetry and music on Oct. 3.
People and Culture Days
“People and Culture Days” covers the annual fall event organized by Sierra’s World Languages department, professor Laurence Lambert-Marandi and others, and supported by the Associated Students of Sierra College.
NABJ, Sacramento Inspires New Journalists
“NABJ Sacramento Inspires New Journalists” includes footage of invited speakers Courtney Dempsey, Marcus D. Smith, and Desiree McFarland; all officers with the newly formed Sacramento chapter of the National Association of Black Journalists. These NABJ Sacramento speakers were invited by the Sierra Journalism program to present. They shared stories and advice with students and staff on Sept. 3 in the Board room on the Rocklin campus.
